02 / THE APPROACH
Built Around the Archaeology

There is no single route through subterranean Rome.

Archaeological sites across Rome follow different opening schedules, reservation systems, capacities and conservation requirements. Some can be visited regularly; others depend on specific dates or arrangements.

We therefore begin with the archaeology rather than with a pre-packaged itinerary. Sites are selected according to historical coherence, geography, your interests and the access actually possible on your date.

The result may focus closely on one archaeological theme or connect several periods and districts into a broader reading of Rome.

03 · Experience Directions

Where could your journey begin?

These are not fixed packages and the sites listed are not guaranteed inclusions. They show the archaeological directions from which a private experience can be developed. Selected private archaeological journeys start from €800 per group. Every proposal confirms the duration, guiding language, access conditions, tickets and transport before you book.

The Archaeological Atlas

A much larger city to work with.

Underground Rome documents individual archaeological places across the city. That growing research base also gives us more possibilities when designing a private journey.

A famous monument may be appropriate. A smaller archaeological area may tell the story better. Sometimes the strongest route comes from combining both.

02 Different periods, districts and archaeological contexts
03 Routes assembled according to real access conditions
05 · How It Works

From interest to itinerary.

Private Means Personal

Archaeology at your pace.

A private journey is designed for your party rather than around the rhythm of a large public group.

07 / ACCESS
Access Shapes the Journey

Archaeological access is part of the design.

Rome's archaeological spaces do not operate as one network. Some follow regular visitor schedules; others have limited opening days, timed admissions, small capacities, restoration periods or access linked to specific arrangements.

The final itinerary is therefore confirmed according to your date and the access actually available. If a particular place cannot be included, we can consider another archaeological context capable of developing the same historical theme.

Limited, special or unusual access is proposed only when genuinely available and appropriate to the requested journey.
